GOAT Spotlight: Christina G Chen

GOAT Spotlight: Christina G Chen

Welcome to our GOAT Spotlight series, where we proudly showcase the exceptional members of our team here at STN Digital.

As a social-first marketing agency, we launch brands and build highly engaged audiences all due to the incredible talent that thrives within our company.

We are very excited to introduce our next GOAT, Christina, who has been working at STN for over 4 years, starting in the HR department before being promoted to Creative Manager 2 years ago!

Christina has been an integral part of our company, helping maintain excellent relationships with clients and forming strong bonds with coworkers.

Check out why we love Christina so much!

Q: Can you tell us about your role/ your time here at STN Digital?

A: I started at STN back in the summer of 2020 when we first started hiring remote employees due to COVID-19 and came into the HR department. Since then I have transitioned over to the project management department almost 2 years ago.

Q: What exactly does a creative project manager do at STN?

A: A creative project manager at STN basically oversees the creative projects from conception to completion with the timeline, budget, and feasibility in mind. We work in a collaborative space between our account managers and our designers to ensure all the projects are going smoothly, pacing well/on time, and within scope.

Q: What is your favorite part of working at our company?

A:  There are some really fun clients that we get to work on and also the people here at the company! When you’re surrounded by friendly and very collaborative individuals, it makes a huge difference in the working environment (even in a remote working environment haha).

Q: What is a memorable/favorite project that you have worked on?

A: My favorite project that I’ve worked on was for our NBC Sports, Sunday Night Football account’s Lifetime illustration where we would have an updated illustration to include a player from the winning team in the Winners’ Club. Seeing such a fun and creative concept come to life that spanned over the entire season was such a fun project to be a part of.

Q: What has been your most memorable experience working at STN?

A: My most memorable experience working at STN would be our GOAT Retreats. Since most of us work remotely it is so great to finally chat and hang out with people you work on a daily basis in person!!

Q: What’s a passion of yours outside of work and can you tell us about it?

A: I love to travel and try new experiences and food and just explore new cities and countries overall! I think experiencing different cultures really gives you a new perspective on a lot of aspects in life.

Q: What is your favorite social account to follow?

A: I have a few favorite accounts that I follow including Betches (for hilarious and relatable entertainment), Earth & Visuals of Earth (for the beautiful images of the world captured by photographers and videographers), and Jess Wandering (for world-traveling content).

Q: What is at the top of your bucket list?

A: Top of my bucket list would have to be visiting Maldives!!

Q: What is your favorite food?

A: It’s hard to narrow down to one food so I would say either tacos or Japanese food (sushi, ramen). San Diego has so many different taco spots to try out!

Q: Where is your favorite place to eat in San Diego?

A: One of my favorite places to eat in San Diego would be Homestyle Hawaiian. Their Korean chicken with their sauce is a must-try!
