The ask—

As part of our ongoing partnership, Amazon Prime Video asked STN Digital to develop a virtual slumber party for the 2016 premiere of their new YA drama series, The Wilds. To create excitement for the series, drive tune-in, and generate awareness – STN produced an interactive virtual experience completely on theme with the show.

The work—

STN designed a digital destination for the virtual slumber party complete with a crash course in all things self-care including six influencer-led tutorials around the idea of a girls’ night in, hosted on a microsite in partnership with Highness.

The influencers walked fans through ways to flex up, fuel up, glow up, and gloss up with makeup and nail art tutorials inspired by the show, a Gua Sha routine, 30 minute workout circuit, and a vegan dessert recipe. The site also included a performance of the show’s title song “Broken” by Empress Of, a live DJ set, and interviews with The Wilds cast and executive producers.

STN’s professional technical team supported recordings with the international cast and crew of The Wilds along with influencers to capture all video content. Our team worked remotely to get the best possible picture and sound through tech checks and easy to follow step-by-step documents for talent to ensure a smooth recording process.

In addition to influencer tutorials and interviews with The Wilds cast and crew, STN created a branded AR filter through Instagram that allowed fans to determine which survivor type they were based on characters from the show.
