STN Brings Fans Closer to the Action in Partnership with Volkswagen and The US Men’s and Women’s National Soccer Teams

ProductionSTN Digital brought VW’s partnership with the USMNT & USMNT to life through an interactive WebAR experience. Each of Volkswagen’s new electric SUVs was wrapped in custom artwork featuring star athletes like Alex Morgan, Carli Lloyd and Weston McKennie. Fans scanned QR codes on the vehicles to launch 3D renderings making it feel like they were on the field with the players. The vehicles were part of a moving activation traveling to games for the USMNT & USWNT over the course of the season.

STN Digital partnered with Gilt Edge Soccer Marketing, 2 Tall Animations, and Groove Jones to support the activation. The partnership coincided with the launch of the 2021 VW electric SUV, the ID.4.
The AR activation brought fans closer to their favorite players through an interactive and audiovisual experience that was easily shareable.
