In a continuation of STN Digital’s partnership with NBC Sports, STN worked tirelessly with the On Her Turf team to provide around-the-clock coverage during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and helped to grow both the OHT Instagram and Twitter accounts. STN was a seamless extension of the NBC Sports team, working together on-site throughout the games.

STN developed an in-depth social strategy and content development plan to ensure the OHT accounts were the first to report on any Olympic updates and results, framing the narrative on how athletes’ stories were told. Through platform-specific strategy and microscopically tracking all athlete events and milestones, the OHT accounts became the go-to resource for all things Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Over the course of the Tokyo games, the OHT Instagram account grew by over 10K new followers and the OHT Twitter account saw a 4K follower increase.

This project was awarded 2021-2022 Sports Emmy Award Winner for Outstanding Interactive Experience – Event Coverage for the Games of the XXXII Olympiad with NBC Sports.
